Competition Law

We assist with disputes concerning competition law.

Our lawyers have experience with, among other things, actions for damages resulting from alleged violations of Norwegian and international competition rules, and as defence counsel in criminal cases resulting from alleged breaches of competition rules.

Anders Ryssdal has conducted several competition law cases before the courts and has also acted as defence counsel in cases of alleged breaches of competition rules. He assisted Aschehoug against the Norwegian Competition Authority to have a fine for violations revoked. Ryssdal previously headed the competition law team at Wiersholm and was ranked for his work within competition law e.g., by Finansavisen‘s annual lawyer survey. He was chairman of Konkurranselovutvalget, which presented the proposal for the Competition Act of 1993. He is also the author of Joint ventures – en konkurranserettslig analyse (Joint ventures – a competition law analysis), 2003 and one of two authors of the publication Norsk konkurranserett (Norwegian competition law), 2018.
