The world faces two major challenges in the field of climate and the environment. In the area of climate, the world's nations must drastically cut their climate emissions by 2030 and achieve a net-zero emissions society by 2050. This is necessary in order to avoid and mitigate the serious consequences of climate change. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has established with a high degree of certainty that serious consequences of climate change are already occurring and will continue to increase in severity if global warming exceeds 1.5 degrees Celsius. At the same time, it has been documented that the loss of nature and biodiversity is happening faster than ever before. Both challenges are serious and interdependent.​

Glittertind's climate emissions mainly come from heating and energy use in our offices, the goods we purchase and how they are delivered, and the travel we undertake. Glittertind's environmental impact consists mainly of the waste we produce, the products we purchase, the materials they are made of, and how they are produced.
