Anders Ryssdal has been a practicing attorney since 1984. He has tried a large number of cases in Norwegian and in international courts. He has appeared before the Norwegian Supreme Court 25 times, including 6 times in plenary and grand chamber sessions. Anders has wide experience as counsel in arbitrations and also sits as arbitrator on a regular basis, most often as chairman of the panel. He is frequently consulted as a trusted advisor by client top management and boards.
As a trial lawyer Anders holds particular experience in litigation involving company law, corporate law, M&A disputes, securities trading law, financial market law, contract law, tort and liability law, competition law, public and international law, and he has been counsel to a number of companies subjected to enforcement actions and compliance evaluations by public authorities. He is not infrequently supervising parallel proceedings in several jurisdictions. He is also an experienced board member, and chairman of election committees in quoted and non-quoted companies.
